Our school values: Community

This week we have been talking and writing about our school value 'community'. The children wrote about how they show community at our school. Their ideas were:
I show the school value community by...
* sitting with other people at lunch time
* playing with other children who are by themselves
* taking care of the little children
* taking a friend to the office if they are hurt
* being kind to others
* making sure everyone is okay
* if someone has lost their friend I will help them find them
* playing in the sandpit with friends
* if someone is sad I cheer them up by pulling funny faces
* being nice to others

It's lovely to know that we have so many kind and caring year 2 children at all school - well done!

It's the Birthday Boys

Happy birthday to Max and Zachariah who are celebrating their 6th birthdays today.

We love science!

Have you looked on our nature table recently? Sophie our frog is happily swimming in her pool and hiding in her pirate ship, there are monarch caterpillars on the swan plant and Louie and Lucy found some wonderful cicadas and their shells at Hagley Park in the weekend.
